If you’ve ever wondered why your bread doesn’t turn out quite right, or you want to understand what makes a loaf rise, taste incredible and bake beautifully, this hands-on bakery experience is for you.
In this intensive bread making experience, you’ll learn the science behind great bread, how each ingredient behaves, and how to control every stage of the process, giving you the skills, knowledge and confidence to create consistently outstanding bread at home.

The smell of success...
After a warm welcome drink from our menu of teas and freshly ground barista style coffees, we’ll introduce the course outline and get started. You will:
- Understand your ingredients, what makes them work and how they can differ
- Make two different types of bread dough, learning how simple adjustments to ingredients affect the outcome
- Learn how to easily enhance the flavour of your bread as well as understanding how to control it and work around your timings
- Handle and work with your dough in different ways
- Confidently control hydration, fermentation and proving to achieve consistently excellent results, through understanding the science behind what's going on at each stage of your bread making
- Make an enriched dough to see how other ingredients can effect the bread but with the principles staying the same
There will be a short refreshment break with snacks, before you shape your doughs and bake two loaves, a focaccia, a pizza and some cinnamon buns.
Once your bread has baked, you’ll head to our dining room to enjoy your pizza and accompaniments from us, as well as tasting your bread, before packing up your bakes to enjoy at home.
